An Arts and Crafts style two-tier service stand or tea trolley constructed from solid oak. The piece features two rectangular shelves, each exhibiting prominent medullary rays characteristic of quarter-sawn oak. Both tiers are designed with integral raised gallery edges. The shelves are supported by four square-section uprights featuring turned decoration to the lower sections, terminating in rounded corner finials at the top. The unit is mounted on four metal swivel casters. No maker marks or labels are visible on the piece.
Condition report:
Good vintage condition. Visible surface wear includes scuffs and minor water marks and staining to the upper tier, consistent with age and domestic use. The finish appears somewhat dry. The swivel casters appear to be in functional order.
