The piece is designed with rounded vertical front edges and features a vertical gold-coloured decorative trim inset along the front left-hand side. It is fitted with five polished gold-tone metal bow handles. The secondary construction, visible in the drawer interiors, consists of white melamine-faced engineered wood utilising machine-made joinery. This chest is representative of mass-produced domestic furniture from the late 20th century, resembling the style of contemporary manufacturers such as Hodedah.
