An assortment of decorative glassware including Victorian cranberry art glass, a cased glass basket, and a clear cut glass decanter. The hand-blown cased glass basket features a vivid pink interior and an exterior decorated with a yellow and white pulled-feather pattern. It is designed with a heavily ruffled, crimped rim, an applied clear glass overhead handle with thorny nodules, and four applied clear glass scrolling feet. The clear cut glass decanter is of a tall, slender tapered form with a matching faceted stopper, decorated with geometric diamond and cross-cut patterns and a prominent floral starburst motif. The cranberry glass items include three plates with etched fern frond decoration around the rim, a small bowl with applied rigaree trailing and clear glass feet, a footed vase with an applied clear glass frill, and a liner bowl seated within a brass-tone wirework cradle with heart-shaped motifs. Also included are two small footed bowls with tripod feet. All pieces show characteristics of hand-blown construction, including snapped or partially polished pontil marks where handles and feet are attached.
Condition report:
The cased glass basket shows a repair with yellowed glue residue where the handle joins the body, and at least one foot has a small chip. The cranberry footed vase has a significant chip to the top rim. Other pieces exhibit minor surface scratches and shelf wear to the bases consistent with age and use.
