A Royal Worcester porcelain bud vase of teardrop form, designated as shape number 307. The body is decorated with a hand-painted still life of peaches and cherries against a mossy, tonal background, signed Ricketts for the artist William Ricketts. The reverse features a smaller vignette of three cherries on a plain cream ground. The slender tapering neck, rim, and pedestal foot are finished in matte gilding. The base carries the Royal Worcester puce factory backstamp, the words MADE IN ENGLAND, the shape number 307, and a capital H. A small hand-painted x mark is also present on the foot rim.
Condition report:
The vase shows a visible repair to the neck, specifically around the raised gilded ring where the surface appears uneven. There is light rubbing and age-related wear to the gilding on the rim and the pedestal foot. The painted decoration remains clear and well-preserved.
