A collection of four glazed ceramic figurines produced by Royal Doulton, inspired by the characters from Kenneth Grahame’s novel The Wind in the Willows. The set includes depictions of Ratty seated in a pink armchair with a matching footstool, Mole in a grey greatcoat and striped scarf standing beside a burrow, Mr. Toad in a blue jacket and yellow checked trousers holding a walking cane, and Mole in a white apron holding whitewash brushes. Each figurine is accompanied by its original pictorial box featuring the series title and illustrations of the characters. Markings on the boxes identify the maker as Royal Doulton and indicate a copyright date of 2003. The packaging also states the items were manufactured in Thailand. The Mr. Toad figurine features a handwritten inventory sticker on the base reading CS16C.
Condition report:
The figurines appear to be in good condition with no visible chips, cracks, or repairs. The original cardboard boxes show signs of shelf wear and age, including scuffing to the edges, minor tearing to the opening flaps, and crushing to the corners.
