Buyer's Premium:

A lot comprising two vintage mechanical mantel clocks. The first is a German bracket-style mantel clock housed in a dark-stained wood case, possibly oak. The case features a stepped base and top with decorative bead moulding, and the side panels are decorated with carved interlocking ring motifs. The clock features a brass faceplate with scrolled foliate corner spandrels, a silvered chapter ring with black Roman numerals, and a minute track. Two winding holes are present on the dial. The mechanical wind-up movement is fitted with a pendulum visible through the rear access. On the reverse are two fragments of a paper label printed with No. 7220 and Made in Germany. A winding key is included. The second item is a Westminster chime Napoleon hat or tambour style mantel clock. The dark-stained wood case features a characteristic arched top and flared base, detailed with bead moulding around the dial and base, and small carved vertical accents to the front. The circular silvered dial has black Arabic numerals and three winding holes, with the words WESTMINSTER and CHIME printed on the dial face. The mechanical three-train movement includes a chime striking on five metal rods, visible through the rear access door. A winding key is included.

Condition report:

Both clocks appear to be in vintage condition with surface wear, dust, and minor scuffs consistent with age and use. The working status of the movements has not been tested. The Napoleon hat clock is missing a small piece of wood from the lower-left front corner of the case.
