An Ercol dining suite comprising a circular extending dining table and a matching set of chairs. The table features a solid elm top with a prominent grain and a central seam to accommodate an extension leaf, supported on a central pedestal base. The matching high-back chairs are constructed from solid ash or elm with a Golden Dawn finish. Each chair features a slightly arched backrest with six vertical slats and visible wedge-jointed construction where the legs and back supports meet. The chairs are fitted with detachable seat pads upholstered in an aqua-blue fabric with a woven repeating scalloped pattern. One chair bears an inset circular metallic maker’s mark featuring the Ercol tree emblem.
Condition report:
The suite is in good overall condition. There are minor surface scratches and signs of wear to the wood finish and table top consistent with age and domestic use. The upholstery appears clean and well-maintained.
