An Ercol display cabinet from the Old Colonial range, constructed from solid elm with a Golden Dawn finish. This one-piece unit features an asymmetrical design with a large double-door glazed section on the left and a narrower solid-door cupboard section on the right. The glazed area contains three adjustable glass shelves. The right-hand section is divided into two cupboards: the upper portion contains a single wooden shelf, and the lower portion includes a pull-out wooden tray. The piece displays characteristic design elements of the range, including carved vertical fluting on the door panels and visible circular dowel plugs. It is fitted with turned wooden knob handles and dark metal hinges. A rectangular paper manufacturer label is affixed to the rear, featuring the Ercol brand name in a blue block and the handwritten inspector code AA 3752 QA.
Condition report:
The cabinet is in good used condition with minor surface scratches and light wear consistent with age and domestic use. The original glass shelves and glazed door panels are intact with no visible chips or cracks. All hinges and pull-out components are functional.
