A mid-century modern Windsor model 468 sideboard manufactured by Ercol in High Wycombe, England. The piece is constructed from solid elm for the top, door panels, and drawer fronts, featuring a solid beech frame. The unit comprises a three-door cupboard top section situated above two wide drawers. The top surface displays rounded edges with exposed dovetail joinery at the side junctions. The interior is divided into a double-door compartment with an adjustable shelf and a separate single-door compartment with an additional shelf. All storage components are opened via integral oval recessed wooden handles. A blue manufacturer’s foil label is affixed to the interior of the left-hand door. Included with the sideboard is original documentation comprising a promotional brochure, an information envelope for fittings, and a manufacturer’s swing tag.
Condition report:
The item is in good vintage condition with minor surface wear and small scuffs consistent with age and use. The wood grain is prominent and the finish is well-preserved. Mechanical components including doors and drawers function correctly. No structural defects are noted.
