A contemporary chest of three drawers by the British manufacturer Stag. The chest is constructed from a light-coloured wood, such as pine or beech, with a clear varnish finish. The design features a simple rectangular form with rounded bullnose edges to the top and drawer fronts. Each of the three full-width drawers is fitted with two circular metal pull knobs in a brushed, antiqued finish. The drawers are of modern construction and the interiors are lined with a traditional patterned contact paper. The chest is raised on four short, turned wooden feet. A dark metal identification plaque is affixed to the interior left-hand side of the top drawer, bearing the maker name STAG and MADE IN ENGLAND.
Condition report:
The chest is in good used condition with light surface wear consistent with age and use. There are minor scratches and some dulling of the finish on the top surface. The drawer interiors show some minor dust and wear to the lining paper. A small auction lot sticker is present on the front right corner of the top surface.
