A pair of contemporary woven wicker armchairs. Each armchair features a continuous, high-back design that sweeps forward to form integrated armrests. A distinctive design feature of these chairs is the large circular open aperture on either side below the armrests. The chairs are fully woven in a natural-toned wicker, likely rattan, with a decorative scalloped finish along the top edge of the backrest. The seats and backs are woven in a tight, vertical and horizontal grid pattern. Each chair is supported on four simple, tapered wooden legs with a light-coloured finish.
Condition report:
The chairs appear to be in good overall condition. The wicker weaving remains intact without obvious breaks or major losses visible in the photographs. There are minor signs of light wear and surface dust consistent with age and use.
