This lot comprises a Sankyo dualux-2000H dual format movie projector, body number 8443568, designed for use with both Standard 8mm and Super 8mm film. The projector is equipped with a Sankyo Zoom 15-25mm f/1.4 lens and is a multi-voltage unit (110–240V, 170W, 50/60Hz) manufactured in Japan by Sankyo Seiki Mfg. Co., Ltd. Included in the collection are five vintage 8mm films in their original retail packaging: Fireball XL5 (© 1962 Walton Home Movie), Walton Thrills, Peak Film Productions Charlie Chaplin in 147 Out for Lunch, Peak Film Productions Action Packed Range Buster Westerns 123 Avenging Hoofs, and Peak Film Productions Classic Comedies Train Rescue. The Peak Film Productions boxes bear the address 37 Devonshire Street, London, W.1, England. Accessories accompanying the projector include a boxed Hama Video-Transfer Unit (No. 3015), a boxed LPL film splicer, a spare Sylvania EFP 12V 100W lamp in its box, and a power lead.
Condition report:
The projector appears in good cosmetic condition with some surface dust and light signs of use. The lens is clear upon external visual inspection; internal elements have not been examined for haze or fungus. The retail film boxes show age-related shelf wear, edge scuffing, and areas of foxing. These items are offered untested for mechanical or electronic function. A power lead is present, but professional PAT testing is recommended before use.
