A group comprising two British pre-decimal coinage sets and a NATO service medal. The first collection is a 1953 Coinage of Great Britain set issued for the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II, containing ten coins: Crown, Half Crown, Florin, English Shilling, Scottish Shilling, Sixpence, Threepence, Penny, Halfpenny, and Farthing. These are mounted in a blue card holder within a clear plastic case. The second set is the 1970 proof coinage of the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland, representing the final pre-decimal issues. The eight-coin set includes denominations from the Half Crown to the Halfpenny and is presented in a purple leatherette folder with an accompanying historical booklet and outer envelope. The final item is a NATO bronze service medal for Operation Active Endeavour, featuring the NATO star obverse and bilingual service inscriptions on the reverse. The medal is suspended from a blue and white ribbon with gold-coloured bands and an ACTIVE ENDEAVOUR clasp, accompanied by a matching ribbon bar in a white plastic case.
Condition report:
1953 coins show various degrees of natural toning; the clear plastic case has minor surface scratches and adhesive remnants on the right edge. 1970 proof coins are in high-grade condition within their protective casing; the folder and envelope exhibit minor shelf wear to the edges. NATO medal and ribbon are in excellent condition.
