A George V sterling silver photograph frame by the silversmiths Deakin & Francis Ltd. The square-form frame features a central circular aperture currently housing a sepia-toned studio portrait of a young woman. The silver front is decorated with a raised border featuring repeating beaded and stylised foliate motifs. The silver is mounted onto a wooden backing covered in blue velvet, which is fitted with a hinged easel stand and two brass securing clips.
The silver is stamped with a full set of British hallmarks on the lower front edge:

Condition report:
The silver mount exhibits heavy tarnish and significant iridescent surface oxidation throughout. The blue velvet covering on the wooden backing shows considerable wear, fading, and fraying, particularly along the edges and corners. The hinged easel stand remains attached and functional. A later hanging string has been tied to the reverse hardware.
