A collection of hand-carved hardwood figurines depicting elephants in various sizes and styles. The group includes pieces crafted from dense tropical hardwoods, featuring both dark-toned and reddish-brown varieties. One figurine is embellished with elaborate floral and foliate hand-carving to the flanks and back, consistent with Anglo-Indian or Sri Lankan decorative traditions. Condition report:
The collection is in fair to good condition with age-related wear. One large dark wood elephant has a prominent vertical drying split to its side. A second large dark wood figurine is missing its tusks. All pieces show light surface scuffs and a general accumulation of dust.
