This lot comprises three glazed ceramic garden planters of varying designs. The primary piece is a large, tapered cylindrical planter by Heritage Garden Pottery, finished in a deep cobalt blue glaze. The exterior features an applied circular ceramic seal embossed with a stylized tree motif and the text Heritage Garden Pottery. The vessel possesses a prominent rounded rim and an unglazed interior, with a single drainage hole located at the base. Accompanying this is a matching pair of bulbous, rounded planters that taper towards the base. These feature wide, flat rims with concentric circular ridges and exterior bodies decorated with vertical fluting. The fluted sections are finished in a dark olive green or charcoal-toned glaze, while the rims and interiors are coated in a pale buff matte slip. No maker’s marks are visible on the fluted pair.
Condition report:
All items are in used garden condition. The interiors show soil residue and mineral staining consistent with previous planting. The blue Heritage pot appears free of significant chips or cracks. The pair of fluted planters shows some moss residue and minor internal staining; one rim displays a dark rectangular mark likely left by adhesive label residue. No structural damage is evident in the provided images.
