A large collection of mid-to-late 20th-century hand tools, socket sets, and hardware fixings. The lot features three distinct socket sets: an Elora (Germany) Special Combined Socket Set (Whitworth and A/F) housed in a blue metal case with LSU lettering, containing a speed brace, ratchet, and extensions; a Kamasa-Tools 1/2 inch drive 15-piece metric socket set in a green metal case; and a Kamasa-Tools 1/4 inch drive 17-piece socket set in a smaller green metal case, marked as manufactured in Taiwan. Measuring and workshop equipment includes a green-finished metal Enox gauge, a wooden-bodied spirit level, and a wooden mitre box. The collection further includes several wooden-handled hammers, a long steel crowbar, a wire wheel brush, and two G-clamps. A wooden drawer contains various retail-packaged and loose fixings, including Fischer cavity fixings (C36), Ankerit sleeve anchor eye bolts (AB235), and multiple plastic wall plugs. Miscellaneous items include wooden-handled awls or chisels and various spools of thread.
Condition report:
The lot is in a well-used, as found workshop condition. Significant surface oxidation and rust are present on several items, most notably the crowbar and one of the G-clamps. The socket sets show signs of heavy use and surface grime but appear largely complete. Wooden components, including hammer handles and the mitre box, exhibit staining, wear, and scratches consistent with age. Hardware packaging shows shelf wear and some damage. All items are sold as untested.
