Buyer's Premium:

A mid-to-late 20th-century mantel clock manufactured by Metamec. The case is of rectangular form, featuring a dark mahogany-stained wooden top and base connected by four brass-toned metal corner pillars. The front and side panels consist of composite material with a brown marbled effect. The top is fitted with a decorative cast brass-toned swing handle, and the piece rests on four small brass-toned bun feet. The circular gilt dial has a brushed sunburst finish, set behind a glass lens, and features black Roman numerals with decorative fleur-de-lis motifs between the hour markers. The dial is set with black-finished hour and minute hands and a gold-toned sweep seconds hand. The rear of the clock features a hinged brass-toned door that opens to reveal a black plastic battery-operated movement. The dial is marked Metamec and Made in England. The movement casing is embossed with the name Kienzle and is marked Germany.

Condition report:

The clock appears to be in fair aesthetic condition with visible surface wear and tarnishing to the brass-toned metal elements.
