An extensive collection of vintage and antique items including personal grooming tools, sewing implements, and household curiosities. Notable pieces comprise a boxed L&L Products The Master tin opener and sardine server in chrome finish, marked MADE IN ENGLAND; a Mauthe travel alarm clock housed in a brown leather case with a dial marked GERMANY; a metal knitting row counter with adjustable slides for rows, increases, and times; and a Twinco Slidaway hair or clothes brush in a turquoise plastic case. Metalwork includes ornate silver-toned scissors with grape and vine motifs, stork-handled implements, and a small GIN decanter label on a chain. Also present is a safety razor with a knurled handle, a cast metal tortoise figure, a magnifying glass, and various pocket knives, one featuring a scenic bridge and landscape on the handle. Additional items include a hand-painted mother-of-pearl shell depicting a rural landscape, a shaving brush with a decorative feather, and several metal files, one stamped BEDFORD. The collection includes various small bodkins, hooks, and miniature tools, some resembling components of a French-style etui or dressing table set.


Condition report:

General age-related wear throughout. Tarnish and oxidation present on silver-toned and metal surfaces. Minor foxing and discolouration to the clock dial and printed labels. Shelf wear and scuffing to the original boxed goods. The leather clock case shows rubbing and surface wear. Items appear structurally sound but some show signs of heavy use.
