A group of miscellaneous miniature decorative objects primarily constructed from brass, copper, and cast white metal. The collection includes a cast metal model of a historical cannon on a wheeled carriage, the barrel featuring a stamped mark with the characters H and B. Also present is an Egyptian style ankh cross in brass with relief hieroglyphic style decoration and a weathered patina. A circular brass plate is decorated with a geometric mandala pattern featuring coloured inlays in shades of red, green, black, and cream. Brass hollowware items include a pedestal goblet, a trumpet shaped vase with a scalloped rim, and a conical candle snuffer. Miniature domestic items comprise a small copper bucket with a wire handle and a polished brass watering can. The animal figurines consist of two cast owls in brass and silver toned metal, a small cloisonne style owl with multi-coloured enamel, two canine figures, and a bird or ram perched on a branch in cast white metal. A shield shaped metal key fob is also included.
Condition report:
The items exhibit a range of surface finishes from polished to naturally oxidised. There is evidence of minor surface scratching, tarnish, and typical wear consistent with age and domestic display. The enamel on the small owl and decorative plate appears largely intact.
