Buyer's Premium:

A complete commemorative coin set entitled The VE Day Chronicle, issued by the London Mint Office in 2020 to mark the 75th anniversary of Victory in Europe Day. The collection is issued under the authority of Gibraltar and comprises six coins in total: one solid 9 carat gold coin and five cupro-nickel coins layered in pure 24 carat Fairmined gold. The coins are housed in a pictorial tri-fold presentation folder featuring historical text and imagery, including a section titled For King and Country. The set is accompanied by six individual Certificates of Authenticity.

The solid 9 carat gold coin, titled The Fallen, has a Two Crowns denomination and features a reverse design by Joel Iskowitz depicting a grieving woman, a V for Victory containing a telegram, and a soldier among crosses with the inscription LET US REMEMBER.

The obverse of every coin bears the Coat of Arms of Gibraltar surrounded by the inscription ELIZABETH II D G REGINA GIBRALTAR 2020 and the respective denomination.

Condition report:

The coins appear to be in as-issued condition and remain protected within their original clear acrylic capsules. The tri-fold presentation folder shows minor shelf wear with light rubbing to the spine and corners. All six Certificates of Authenticity are present and well-preserved within the integrated storage slots.
