This lot comprises an assortment of approximately ten elephant figurines executed in various styles and media. The collection includes several hand-carved hardwood examples, with some fashioned from a dense, dark-stained species and others from lighter hardwoods with visible grain patterns. A large stylized figurine is finished in a matte cobalt blue material, likely a cast resin or stone composite. Composite and resin groups are present, including a trio of elephants mounted on a polished mahogany-coloured oval base bearing a small gold-tone plaque, and a pair of interacting calves in a textured olive-toned resin. Other pieces include a small reddish-brown model and various smaller resin or wooden figures. One wooden specimen bears a handwritten price label on its underside.
Condition report:
The collection shows general signs of wear consistent with display, including minor dust accumulation and light surface scuffing. A large wooden elephant with a lowered trunk displays a significant area of white surface residue or bloom across the forehead and trunk. The blue figurine has faint superficial scratches to the surface. Tusks on the resin and composite models remain intact.
