Buyer's Premium:

A pair of commemorative gold proof-quality coins from Gibraltar, part of The Remembrance 2024 series, comprising an Eighth Sovereign and a Quarter Sovereign. Both coins are struck in 22-carat gold (0.916 Au). The obverse of each features the first coinage portrait of King Charles III with the legend CHARLES III . D . G . REX . GIBRALTAR 2024. The reverse of the Eighth Sovereign depicts a lone soldier and poppy motif, while the Quarter Sovereign features the Menin Gate Memorial in Ypres. Both reverse designs include the inscription AT THE GOING DOWN OF THE SUN. Each coin is housed in an individual London Mint Office protective slab and presented in a shared black velvet-lined case with technical specification certificates. The Eighth Sovereign is certificate number 63 of 9,999, and the Quarter Sovereign is certificate number 12 of 4,999. Both coins exhibit mirror-like proof fields with frosted relief.
