A set of two proof gold coins issued by Gibraltar in 2025, titled The Classics Remastered. The collection comprises an Eighth Sovereign and a Quarter Sovereign, both struck in 22ct (0.916 fine) gold. The obverse of each coin features the Raphael Maklouf effigy of King Charles III facing left, with the circumscribed legend CHARLES III · D · G · REX · F · D · GIBRALTAR and the date 2025. The reverse features a contemporary interpretation of Saint George and the dragon by Angela Pistrucci, overlaid with a shield motif commemorating the 200th anniversary of the first 1825 shield sovereign design. Both coins exhibit a proof finish with frosted devices against mirrored fields. The set is presented in individual plastic display holders within a fitted black velvet-lined presentation case and is accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity numbered 45 of a limited edition of 1,999.
