This lot comprises a varied collection of decorative items and lighting accessories crafted from pewter, brass, and wood. It includes a matching pair of large pewter pricket candle stands, each designed with a tiered circular base, a baluster-form stem, and a wide drip pan with a central spike for securing pillar candles. The drip pans feature a fine beaded or serrated edge. A single pewter candlestick base is also included, featuring a square base transitioning into a fluted stem, marked with a temporary inventory label R945. The collection features a tall candlestick made from dark-stained hardwood, detailed with a traditional barley-twist stem on a circular base. Further items include a cast brass decorative sconce in the form of a fleur-de-lis, a small winged cherub figurine with a dark bronzed finish, and an openwork brass cylindrical holder with geometric cutouts. A small brass candle holder and a decorative metal chain component are also present.
Condition report:
All items exhibit signs of age and use. The pewter pieces show a characteristic dull grey patina with surface oxidation, minor scuffs, and pitting. The wooden barley-twist candlestick has surface wear and small indentations. The brass items show varying levels of tarnish and oxidation. The collection is generally in good condition, commensurate with age.
