An assortment of ceramic items comprising decorative pieces, kitchenalia, and studio-style pottery. The collection includes a cylindrical stoneware jar for Paxton & Whitfield, featuring a cream-coloured glaze and black printed lettering for Blue Stilton Cheese. Also present is an earthenware jug and basin set decorated with blue transfer-printed floral sprays, the jug having a bulbous, lobed body and scrolled handle. A ceramic model of a gabled house with pierced window apertures is finished in a light brown glaze with wiped-back details. A large ceramic planter or bowl displays blue transfer-printed floral and foliate motifs in a Chinoiserie style. Studio-style items include an oval stoneware platter with a variegated blue, grey, and brown glaze, a small footed dish with a mottled red and blue glaze, and a stack of four turquoise earthenware items with an impressed circular pattern. Further items include a mug decorated with wildflowers, an ovoid vase with floral decoration on a white ground, a plain grey earthenware bowl, a small white stoneware pot, and a shallow bowl with a floral border. The Paxton and Whitfield jar is marked with the brand name and address: Jermyn Street London. No other maker marks or signatures are visible.
