One red can is embossed with the Shell-Mex and BP Ltd shield logo, while two green cans are embossed with the Pratts brand name on the sides and shoulders. The Pratts cans include embossed price markings of 3/-. The top shoulders of the cans feature the embossed warning Petroleum Spirit Highly Inflammable. The set includes a variety of stamped metal screw caps with markings including Pratts, XX Spirit, and OSS3.
Condition report:
The Tri-ang locomotive is in heavily played-with condition with significant paint loss, surface abrasions, and areas of oxidation and rust throughout the body and roof. The item is incomplete, missing the rear axle and wheels, and only two front rubber tyres remain. The litho labels show significant wear and tearing. A length of frayed twine is attached to the cab. The collection of petrol cans is in generally good vintage condition, exhibiting expected surface scratches, minor dents, and paint chips consistent with age and use. The green Pratts cans retain a strong colour finish. All cans appear to retain their original caps.
