This collection of household items comprises various ceramic and glass pieces. A primary item is a Chinese rice grain porcelain bowl, featuring a central underglaze blue floral spray, a geometric fret border to the inner rim, and characteristic translucent rice-shaped perforations filled with clear glaze. Included is a vintage Boots stoneware bed warmer or hot water bottle, displaying the Boots script mark within a black rectangular border and complete with its original screw-threaded ceramic stopper. The lot also contains a plain white glazed earthenware jug and basin set, the jug of bulbous form with a wide spout and loop handle. A further ceramic piece is a shallow plate decorated with a blue and white transfer-printed floral design. The glassware includes three clear stemmed goblets, one bearing a stock label numbered 09638. A handled circular faceted glass tray holds an assortment of shot glasses, including two in green glass, one frosted glass, and several clear textured glasses, some with original IKEA labels. Completing the group are two mosaic glass candle holders in earthy tones, several red glass votive holders, and a small white bisque porcelain dome with relief-moulded acanthus leaf decoration.
Condition report:
The Chinese rice grain porcelain bowl and the blue and white plate appear in good condition without visible chips or cracks. The Boots stoneware bed warmer is intact with its original stopper and shows minor surface wear consistent with age and domestic use. The white glazed jug and basin set and the various glassware items appear generally well-preserved. Some glass items retain original adhesive retail labels.
