A collection of vintage miscellaneous items and household effects, featuring a brown fibreboard suitcase containing a brown folding umbrella, bamboo and paper fans, and various textiles including a red and blue patterned cloth. Standalone items include an Art Deco style pedestal ashtray with a red fluted stem and chrome-plated base and handle. The lot includes a well-worn mohair teddy bear with a purple ribbon and a knitted rag doll with burgundy and yellow striped limbs. Advertising ephemera comprises a round tin for Cravens Mary Ann Dairy Butter Toffees, a yellow and red tin for Park Drive Cigarettes by Gallaher Ltd, and a blue packet for Player’s Please. Additional components consist of a white-coated wire magazine rack, a small metal hand bell, and various wooden and bamboo domestic objects.
Condition report:
The collection generally displays signs of significant age-related wear. Heavy surface dust is present throughout. Metal components, including the pedestal ashtray and the bell, show oxidation and significant surface grime. Soft toys show visible wear consistent with age, specifically to the mohair of the teddy bear. Advertising tins and packets show surface marking and wear.
