Buyer's Premium:

This lot features two portable audio devices from different eras. The first is a vintage Roberts R606-MB transistor radio, featuring a padded orange vinyl-wrapped cabinet with a silver-tone metal grille and a metal top control panel. It is a multi-band receiver covering LW, MW, and VHF (FM) frequencies, with a slide-rule analog tuning dial that includes markings for various UK stations including Radio 1, Radio 2, Radio 3, and Radio 4. The control layout includes dials for volume, bass, treble, and tuning, alongside push-button selectors for AFC and frequency bands. It includes a telescopic aerial and is designed for both mains and battery operation. The second item is a Panasonic RX-DS15 portable stereo CD system, finished in a black moulded plastic casing. This unit incorporates a top-loading CD player, a cassette deck, and an FM/AM radio tuner. It features Panasonic’s MASH (Multi-stage Noise Shaping) technology and XBS (Extra Bass System). The unit includes a digital LCD display for CD track information and manual tuning controls. Both items are accompanied by UK three-pin power leads.

Condition report:

Both items are in used condition and are sold as untested. The Roberts radio shows visible signs of age including surface oxidation and pitting to the metal top panel and control knobs, with some scuffing and grime on the vinyl wrap. The telescopic aerial remains intact. The Panasonic unit is heavily dusted and displays surface scuffs and minor wear to the plastic housing consistent with regular use.
