This collection comprises a rectangular relief-decorated metal box and various devotional and decorative items. The metal box features a lid depicting an East Asian landscape with a torii gate, traditional buildings, and mountains, and is finished with a red fabric lining. The collection includes two circular gold-toned base metal reliquaries with ornate scalloped borders and glass covers. One reliquary contains a label inscribed S. Brunonis C. and the other S. Teresiae a J. Inf., both housing white floral-shaped fragments against a red textile ground. Further items include an oval mother-of-pearl pendant with an applied metal relief depicting a rickshaw, a circular silver-coloured metal brooch with an engraved bridge scene, a gold-toned square box-link chain, and a carved mother-of-pearl fragment. No hallmarks or metal purity stamps are visible on the pieces.
Condition report:
The collection shows overall signs of age and wear. The metal box exhibits a dark patina with significant areas of green verdigris oxidation and a heavily worn interior fabric lining. The reliquaries and jewellery items show surface tarnish, minor abrasions, and general wear consistent with age and use.
