Seating consists of a provincial-style slat-back chair with a contoured solid wooden seat and turned legs, and a Victorian-style bedroom chair featuring a cane-panelled seat and turned frame. The group is completed by a simple rectangular wooden step stool with an oval hand-hole for carrying. No maker’s marks, labels, or stamps are visible on the items.
Condition report:
The collection is in a mixed state of condition consistent with age and use. There are visible surface scratches and abrasions throughout. The three-tier stand shows significant finish loss and wear to the shelf surfaces. The cane-panelled seat of the bedroom chair exhibits some staining and minor sagging, though it remains intact. The dressing mirror and other pieces appear structurally sound despite the surface-level wear.
