A group of four graduated cast brass elephant figurines. The set comprises three standing elephants and one smaller seated elephant. Each figure is depicted with its trunk raised, a traditional symbol of good luck. The seated elephant features more detailed incised textures to the trunk, ears, and head, while the standing figures have smoother, more stylised bodies. All figures have large, fanned ears and tusks. The items are constructed from solid cast brass with a patinated finish. There are no visible maker’s marks, factory stamps, or country of origin labels on the bodies or the undersides of the feet. A small white circular sticker bearing the hand-written number F7020 is present on the underside of one foot. The undersides of the feet feature circular recessed casting marks.
Condition report:
The figurines are in good vintage condition with wear consistent with age. There is significant variation in the patina across the set. The seated elephant and one of the smaller standing elephants show heavy surface oxidation, including white pitting and small areas of green verdigris, particularly on the trunks and ears. The larger standing figures show more uniform golden-brown patination with minor surface scratches, rubbing, and small dark spots of tarnish. All trunks, tusks, and ears appear to be intact with no visible repairs.
