A set of dining chairs crafted from solid hardwood with a light honey-toned clear finish. The collection comprises side chairs and a pair of matching carver armchairs. Each chair features a fan-back configuration with a shaped crest rail positioned over six turned spindles. The seats are constructed from thick, saddle-shaped solid wood displaying a prominent grain. The chairs are supported by four splayed, turned legs joined by an H-frame stretcher. The carver armchairs feature outward-curving arms, each supported by two additional turned spindles.
Condition report:
The chairs are in good used condition. Visible surface scratches and scuffs are present on the seats, consistent with age and regular use. There is minor thinning of the finish on the crest rails from handling. General light wear is evident on the legs and stretchers from foot contact. Light surface grime and dust are present within the crevices of the turned woodwork and joinery.
