A mid-century teak sideboard manufactured by F. Wrighton and Sons. The carcase is constructed from teak and teak veneers, elevated on four tapered circular legs. The front is configured into three sections, featuring a central bank of three drawers flanked by two fall-front cupboards. The uppermost drawer is a dedicated cutlery drawer with internal wooden dividers and a grey felt-lined base. The left-hand fall-front cupboard is fitted with three vertical plywood dividers, intended for vinyl record storage. The right-hand fall-front cupboard is designed as a cocktail cabinet, featuring a mirrored back panel. The piece is fitted with ten distinctive inset sculpted teak handles; the drawer handles are oriented horizontally, while the cupboard handles are oriented vertically.
Condition report:
The item is in fair condition and is presented as a restoration project. The top surface displays significant wear, including several prominent circular water stains, general fading, and scattered surface scratches. The carcase shows minor scuffs and age-related wear, with a small visible chip to the veneer on the front right edge of the main frame. The piece is structurally sound, and all drawers and doors are functional.
