Three artworks comprising two prints by Lionel Edwards and a maritime seascape. The two prints are executed in a monochromatic blue colour palette on paper. One composition features a rider on a grey horse within a misty landscape, while the second depicts a cluster of bare trees with birds in flight. Both prints feature the printed inscriptions ‘Published by Horse and Hound © Lionel Edwards Estate 1986’ in the upper left margin and ‘by Lionel Edwards R.I.’ at the bottom centre. The third artwork is a horizontal oil on canvas depicting a seascape with large breaking waves and whitecaps under a clouded sky. The prints are housed in matching light wood frames with cream-coloured mounts. The seascape is set in a wooden frame with a gilded inner fillet.
Condition report:
The maritime oil on canvas exhibits a visible surface scratch in the left-hand section of the water. All three frames show general signs of wear, including surface dust and minor scuffing consistent with age and storage.
