This lot comprises two high-fidelity audio components from reputable manufacturers Arcam and Rotel. The first unit is an Arcam Alpha 6 R/C (Remote Control) Integrated Stereo Amplifier, manufactured by A and R Cambridge Ltd in Waterbeach, Cambridge, UK. It features a black-finished metal chassis with a plastic front fascia. The front panel is equipped with a large volume dial, three copper-finished rotary knobs for Bass, Treble, and Balance, and a matching Listen input selector knob. Functional push buttons include Tape, Direct, SP2, and Power, with a 6.35mm headphone jack for private listening. The rear panel provides extensive connectivity with RCA phono inputs for Phono, Aux (2), CD, Tuner, Video, and Tape Play In, alongside RCA outputs for Tape Record Out and Aux/Video Record Out. A grounding screw is provided for turntable use. Markings include ARCAM alpha and ALPHA 6 R/C AMPLIFIER on the front fascia and the manufacturer details on the rear. The unit includes its original Arcam multi-function remote control. The second unit is a Rotel RCD-965BX Stereo Compact Disc Player, featuring a black metal chassis and a brushed-effect metal front fascia. The front panel contains a central disc tray, digital display window, and control buttons for track navigation and programming, labeled as a BIT STREAM DUAL D/A CONVERTER. The rear panel includes one coaxial digital output and one pair of RCA analog outputs. The rear identification label specifies Model No. RCD-965BX, Power Consumption: 30W, AC 240V 50Hz, Serial No. 343 90952, and is marked Made in Taiwan. This player is accompanied by its original Rotel RR-901 remote control. Both components are fitted with hardwired mains cables terminating in UK three-pin plugs.
Condition report:
Both units appear to be in good cosmetic condition, showing signs of light domestic use including surface dust and minor scuffs to the top casings. The copper-finished knobs on the Arcam amplifier exhibit some minor surface wear and tarnish consistent with age. Both original remote controls are included. The mains cables and plugs appear intact. The working status of both components is untested.
