A vintage folding deck chair and a coordinating four-pole windbreak characteristic of traditional British seaside furniture. The deck chair frame is constructed from light-coloured hardwood and features a traditional multi-position notched adjustment mechanism at the rear. The matching windbreak includes four sharpened wooden poles designed for ground insertion. Both items are fitted with heavy-duty canvas slings and screening featuring a vibrant multi-coloured vertical stripe pattern comprising teal, red, yellow, orange, and black. There are no visible manufacturer marks. A white adhesive auction lot sticker is present on the upper right-hand side of the deck chair frame bearing the handwritten characters L907R.
Condition report:
The wooden frames show typical signs of age and outdoor use, including minor scuffs, light surface abrasions, and some darkening of the wood near the joints. The structure appears sound and functional. The canvas colours remain bright and vibrant. The deck chair sling shows visible dark spotting and staining, primarily located in the centre and lower-third sections of the seat. The windbreak fabric appears in similar condition.
