A comprehensive group of religious devotional objects, primarily featuring a set of Stations of the Cross lithographic prints. Each print is mounted behind glass in a dark wooden frame surmounted by a small wooden cross, with English captions and Roman numerals including Jesus Condemned to Death, Jesus Carrying the Cross, and Jesus Nailed to the Cross. The collection includes several Eastern Orthodox style icons, notably one featuring a gilt metal oklad with Cyrillic inscriptions for the Mother of God of Kazan, another depicting the Madonna and Child on a gold-leaf ground, and a smaller icon on wood. A decorative ceramic plate commemorates the 1975 Holy Year, featuring a portrait of Pope Paul VI and St Peter’s Basilica, with the Latin inscription ANNI MCMLXXV SANCTI APOSTOLORUM LIMINA. The paper mounts of the Stations of the Cross prints show significant foxing, staining, and age-related discoloration. The frames exhibit general surface wear, minor scuffs, and dust accumulation. The icons display wear to the gilt metal and gold-leaf surfaces consistent with age. The Sacred Heart print shows evidence of light fading. Overall, the collection demonstrates age-related wear and signs of handling across all items.
