A collection of vintage Matchbox Models of Yesteryear commercial and passenger vehicles. Each model is housed in its original maroon and gold-tone window display packaging. The vehicles are constructed from die-cast metal with plastic components, including canopies, wheels, and fine detail parts. These are static display models featuring free-rolling wheels. The collection includes multiple examples of the Y-13 1918 Crossley in the Warings London W & G Madrid Paris livery. Other identified models include a Y-18 1918 Atkinson Model D Steam Wagon in green Sand & Gravel livery, an Atkinson Model D truck in yellow Blue Circle Portland Cement livery, and a yellow and black utility vehicle with Kohle & Koks branding. The boxes feature the Matchbox and Models of Yesteryear branding along with safety text in English, German, and French.
Condition report:
The vehicles appear to be in mint, unused condition, remaining secured within their original internal plastic vac-formed packaging. No paint loss, chips, or missing components are visible through the windows. The original window boxes show signs of light shelf wear, including minor scuffing to the edges and corners and slight creasing to some of the cardboard header cards. The transparent plastic windows remain intact.
