Buyer's Premium:

A collection of miscellaneous antiques and decorative items. The group includes an oak desk inkstand featuring two square-cut faceted glass inkwells and a central brass handle positioned above a metal plaque inscribed ERNEST CARPENTER FREDERICK TERRACE HALEBANK -1909-. A circular enamel trinket box by Halcyon Days for the Bilston and Battersea Enamels range, produced for the St Paul’s Cathedral Appeal in 1971 and numbered 117 on the base. A rectangular tortoiseshell-effect box decorated with a relief motif of a hand holding a fan, containing a Gibraltar five pound postage stamp depicting a Lesser Kestrel (Falco naumanni). Also present is a hand-carved wooden Welsh love spoon featuring heart motifs and a central number 21, retaining a paper tag from The John Arnold Collection. The lot is completed by a metal model flywheel mounted on a circular base, a pair of dark-stained wooden shoe trees, a carved wooden duck figure, a wooden flute, a small wooden pulley block, and a polished green and white agate slice.

Condition report:

The items generally show light age-related wear consistent with their materials. The wooden inkstand exhibits minor surface scratches and light tarnish to the brass handle and metal corner mounts. The Halcyon Days enamel box appears to be in good order without visible cracks. The carved wooden items show minor surface scuffs and light dust accumulation. The metal flywheel base shows some surface oxidation.
