An extensive collection of Fire-King (Anchor Hocking) Peach Lustre pressed glass tableware. The service is rendered in a vibrant orange iridescent finish over heat-resistant glass. The collection comprises two distinct but complementary patterns: the Swirl pattern, which features diagonal ribbing on cup bodies and radial ribbing on saucers; and the Laurel pattern, which features a relief-moulded laurel leaf border around the rims of plates and saucers. The group includes tea cups with matching saucers, several stacks of side plates, a large circular serving bowl, a footed creamer, and a footed pedestal bowl. The footed pieces feature a waisted stem and a circular base. While no maker marks are legible in the photographs, the distinctive finish and moulded patterns are highly consistent with mid-20th-century Fire-King production.
Condition report:
The collection is in good overall condition with the iridescent finish retaining a high degree of vibrancy and sheen. The large circular bowl exhibits some dark surface marking to the interior centre. There is minor surface wear and light scratching consistent with age and stacking. No significant chips, cracks, or repairs are visible in the provided images.
