A trio of decorative household items comprising an aneroid barometer, a botanical relief wall plaque, and a circular bevelled mirror. The circular wall-mounting aneroid barometer is set within a turned wooden casing with a brass bezel and an integrated brass hanging ring at the top. The silvered metal dial features black-printed weather indications including Stormy, Change, and Very Dry, and is marked FCC Precision at the base. The dual scale displays readings in millibars (950 to 1050) and inches of mercury (28 to 31). The square relief wall plaque features a three-dimensional depiction of Snowdrops (Galanthus elwesii) with hand-painted accents in green and white. The surface is inscribed with detailed botanical notes in a cursive script including the Latin name, common name, and various physical characteristics such as leaf structure and height. The circular frameless wall mirror features a wide bevelled edge in a mid-century style and is held in place by metal perimeter clips with a white hanging cord attached to the reverse.
Condition report:
The barometer is in good overall condition with minor surface wear to the wooden casing and light tarnishing to the brass bezel. The mirror glass is largely clear with minor signs of edge wear and light foxing consistent with age. The botanical plaque displays several significant cracks running across the face and through the central relief section.
