A modern mantel skeleton clock produced by Rapport, London. The case is constructed from gilt metal and features four fluted columns supporting a rectangular top and base, housing four clear glass panels. The skeletonised movement is visible through the case, featuring a circular gilt chapter ring with black Roman numeral hour markers and Breguet-style hands. The internal brass-coloured frame is stamped S. Haller Germany PL 81 no (0) jewels unadjusted. A circular backplate to the rear bears an intertwined monogram of the letters R and A above the word QUARTZ.
Condition report:
The clock shows significant signs of age and neglect. There is a prominent area of green verdigris and corrosion on the rear brass plate. The top gilt surface exhibits heavy surface scratching, tarnish, and some loss of finish. General surface wear and dust are present throughout. The glass panels appear intact. The clock is untested and requires internal cleaning and removal of corrosion.
