A United Kingdom 2022 gold proof Sovereign, struck by The Royal Mint to commemorate the Platinum Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II. The coin is composed of 916.7 (22-carat) gold. The obverse features the fifth definitive coinage portrait of Queen Elizabeth II by Jody Clark, facing right and wearing the George IV State Diadem, with the Latin legend ELIZABETH II · DEI · GRA · REGINA · FID · DEF ·. The reverse features a stylized interpretation of the Royal Arms by Timothy Noad, a design unique to the 2022 issue, with the date 2022 inscribed to the right. The coin is housed in its original protective plastic capsule and is accompanied by a dark red polished wooden presentation case and a Royal Mint Certificate of Authenticity, numbered 05542. The certificate includes a holographic security foil and specifies a maximum coin mintage of 13,040, with a limited edition presentation of 10,500.
