A 2024 United Kingdom ten pound gold proof coin, struck by The Royal Mint to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the D-Day landings. The obverse features the official coinage portrait of King Charles III by Martin Jennings, with the legend transcribed as CHARLES III · D · G · REX · F · D · 10 POUNDS · 2024. The reverse, designed by David Lawrence, features the D-Day 80th anniversary commemorative design, bearing the inscriptions D-DAY, 80TH ANNIVERSARY, 1944-2024, and the names of the five landing beaches UTAH OMAHA GOLD JUNO SWORD along the lower border. The coin is struck with a reeded edge and is housed in its original protective capsule. It is presented in a red wood-finish presentation case with a Certificate of Authenticity numbered 105. This issue is from a limited edition presentation of 500 units.
