An Isle of Man 2024 commemorative 22ct gold coin issued to mark the 80th anniversary of the D-Day landings. The obverse features the left-facing effigy of King Charles III, surrounded by the circular inscription KING CHARLES III, ISLE OF MAN, and the date 2024. The reverse displays a central shield design inscribed D-DAY 80 and 6TH JUNE 1944, surrounded by five arrow-shaped markers inscribed with the names of the landing beaches: SWORD, JUNO, GOLD, OMAHA, and UTAH. The reverse also includes the Roman numerals MMXXIV, the Isle of Man triskelion symbol, and the purity mark GOLD.916. The coin is housed in a clear protective plastic capsule, set within a black multi-folding origami-style presentation case featuring a white crest to the lid, and includes a matching black outer sleeve.
Condition report:
The coin is in mint condition, showing no visible handling marks, scratches, or defects. The presentation packaging and outer sleeve are in excellent state, showing no signs of wear or damage.
