A two-piece furniture suite in the modern country style, consisting of a console table and a matching side chair. The console table features a narrow rectangular solid oak top with a natural finish, positioned over a cream-painted frame. The frieze contains two drawers, each equipped with two turned wooden knobs. The unit stands on square-section legs connected by a full-length lower shelf. The matching side chair is designed with a three-slat ladder-back, a solid oak seat, and square legs supported by H-stretchers. A light blue and white floral tie-on cushion is included with the chair. The set demonstrates contemporary mass-produced construction techniques consistent with the late 20th or early 21st century. No maker’s marks or labels are present.
Condition report:
The furniture exhibits minor scuffs and small chips to the cream paintwork, particularly around the base of the legs and the edges of the lower shelf. There is light surface wear to the oak tops. The drawer interiors show general light soiling and dust. Both pieces appear structurally sound.
