An assortment of vintage costume and decorative jewellery featuring various styles and materials. Included is a navy blue presentation box marked Wedgwood containing a blue jasperware pendant with a profile portrait in relief on a white metal chain, accompanied by a loose circular jasperware roundel. The collection contains a carved shell cameo brooch depicting a female profile in a scalloped metal frame and a circular brooch featuring an enamelled or printed portrait of a woman wearing a red headscarf. The assortment also comprises several metal cuff bracelets, including a wide hammered brass-toned cuff, a wide hammered silver-toned cuff, and a narrower cuff with engraved foliate motifs. A thick hammered silver-toned bangle and a circular open-work brooch set with faceted pink and clear beads are present. A wristwatch is included, featuring a dial with a star motif mounted on a broad brown leather strap with multiple press-stud fasteners. The collection is rounded out by multiple strands of simulated pearls, including one set in a box marked Dubarry Pearls.
Condition report:
The items show various levels of wear consistent with age and use. Notable tarnish is present on the metal components, particularly the silver-toned cuffs and the shell cameo frame. The leather watch strap shows significant creasing and surface wear. Some pieces exhibit minor surface scratches and dust accumulation. The presentation boxes show shelf wear and minor staining to the interior linings.
