This lot comprises an assortment of contemporary and vintage-style costume jewellery presented in and with a red jewellery box. The collection features multiple strands of faux pearl necklaces in shades of white, cream, and pink; various beaded necklaces including black faceted beads, red seed beads, and large carved brown wood or nut beads; and multiple fine-link and heavy-link chains in both silver and gold-tone finishes. Significant individual pieces include a hinged bangle decorated with blue enamel, gold-tone accents, and inset clear rhinestones; a large silver-tone floral brooch; a silver-tone disk pendant engraved with a pentagram; and a large amber-coloured resin or glass cabochon. Several items are presented on their original retail cards, including a pair of small 18ct gold plated studs from Claire’s, a pair of red circular drop earrings from Dorothy Perkins, and ornate circular earrings with grey and blue accents. The collection also includes a small figurine pendant dressed in brown faux fur and two plastic bags containing loose red and white seed beads. The rectangular jewellery box is finished in red faux-leather with a gilt-stamped decorative border on the lid and a brass-tone lockable latch. The interior features a multi-compartment top tray and a larger lower section lined with yellow flocked material.
Condition report:
The items are in used condition. Several necklaces are heavily tangled within the box. Various metal components exhibit surface oxidation and tarnishing consistent with base metal construction. The jewellery box shows minor surface scuffing to the exterior and some wear and discoloration to the interior lining. The latch is functional but shows surface tarnishing. All items are sold as-found.
